Natural Fabric Dyeing + Eco Prints Workshop
with Ruby Martin
Spend a creative day at the farm exploring the beautiful art of natural fabric dyeing and eco printing.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to extract vibrant, lasting colours from plants, insects, and even mushrooms — and how to work with natural materials that help your dyes and prints stand the test of time.
Date: March 7th, 2026
Time: 12 - 2:30 PM
Cost: $80 per person
Located at Early Dawn Farm
Registration: Spaces are limited, and it is first come first served.
THIS WORKSHOP IS NON-REFUNDABLE
We’ll dive into several traditional and experimental print methods, including clay resist, tie-dye, bundle dyeing, and hapa zome (the art of hammering flowers and leaves directly into fabric). You’ll get to see plenty of demonstrations, view sample pieces, and take home your own one-of-a-kind flower-and-leaf print on cloth canvas.
This day is all about slowing down, getting a little messy, and discovering how colour and creativity can come straight from the land around us.
All materials are provided. A solid surface is required for the printing portion — we’ll have wooden boards available to protect your workspace.
Perfect for anyone who loves nature, traditional craft, or simply learning something new.
